Summary
(1) The State Administration of Market Supervision and the General Administration of Customs jointly issued Announcement No. 3 of 2024 to release the updated list of notifiable infectious diseases in accordance with the revised Law of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Border Health Quarantine. The revised list comes into effect on January 1, 2025. The list includes the following notifiable infectious diseases: new coronavirus infection, AIDS, avian influenza, measles, hemorrhagic fever, Japanese encephalitis, dengue fever, monkeypox, bacillary dysentery, amoebic dysentery, pulmonary tuberculosis, typhoid and paratyphoid fever, meningococcal meningitis, pertussis, malaria, influenza, norovirus gastroenteritis, enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli infection, Vibrio cholerae infection, nipah virus disease, West Nile fever, chikungunya fever, Rift Valley fever, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, and Kyasanur Forest disease.
